The core values of the company come from these three verses
Matthew 7:12 So in EVERYTHING, do to others what you would have them do to you…
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord...
Psalm 115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory...
Where it All Began
Received my license in from TREC and began working as an apartment locator for Umovefree.
I always enjoyed jobs where I was working directly with people, but I quickly realized that real estate is the best industry for me. I get paid while helping people find a place to live. It was no-pressure sales without having to speak with people that didn't want to speak with me. The perfect job!
I noticed that I hit a ceiling at my job. The organizational structure does not allow for advancement. My entrepreneurial spirit kicks in to overdrive and I start looking for alternative ways to earn money.
No one else in the industry wants to help second chance people find apartments. I created a very simple website using Weebly, which is a very basic beginner web development software. I wanted to see if I could start generating my own leads because the split with my broker was SO much better on self-generated leads. I also began working residential sales.
FIRED FROM UMF 🙁
I had gone into the boss’s office and told him I wanted to just work the leads I was generating myself from SecondChanceApartment.com, and that I wanted to finish my degree. He told me that I would “become a competitor” so he thought it would be best if I just left.
BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME
I found a broker sponsor and signed up, and I enrolled back into school to get a bachelors in marketing from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Frustration overruns because the sponsor I was working for primarily sponsored Realtors, and they didn't know squat about the administrative side of apartment locating.
SPIRIT REAL ESTATE GROUP, LLC WAS BORN
I wanted to start a company that filled all the needs I had come to realize. A broker sponsor that can handle apartment locators and Realtors. One that provides all the tools an agent needs to start and run their own business without the constraints of structural inadequacies and over-burdensome broker splits.
Graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
Hired my first agent! But up to this point my primary objective was working second chance apartment locating leads and selling houses. I am really starting to wonder, is this all that I am supposed to be doing?
Asked God, what am I supposed to do? Focus on selling houses? Go back to helping people find apartments? Or, really pursue the broker sponsorship path?
I start getting contacted about sponsorship. And I had 5 agents by the end of the year with more on the way.
I’ve doubled my agents since the beginning of the year and am going full boar towards finding more agents who have the entrepreneurial spirit. The people that want the freedom to work from home, to work their own hours, and earn great money.
WHERE TO NOW?
Goal is to have 100 agents by the end of the year, and to be at 200 and in 3 states before the end of 2020. Want to know more about how to join the team? Go check out BrokerSponsorship.com
